Phase 1: Color Bland Abstract (2014–2016), my work focused on color harmony and simplicity. I sought to blend in, exploring soft contrasts and smooth compositions as I adjusted to life in a new society. The desire to merge into the background reflected my longing to find belonging and acceptance.

"This piece reflects my early experience as an immigrant in the United States. It embodies the emotional journey of navigating different cultures, thoughts, and races. Like water blending into water, I longed to merge seamlessly into society. Yet through this process, I discovered my own unique color and identity. The soft blending of hues reflects the desire for connection, while the contrasting shades symbolize the realization of individuality."
